 Mission: Our youth bike program teaches personal responsibility, achievement and confidence through the development of practical skills, tutoring and simply having fun.  We work with children of poverty between the ages of 8 – 14 through a program of bicycling, mentoring and meals.  We need your help…Join our Fund Raiser:  “ b.i.k.e.-Syracuse Tour de'Cuse” and help a child…ONE PEDAL STROKE AT A TIME….ONE LAP AT A TIME…..

What you need to do

·         Sign up sponsors to donate a lump sum or an amount per mile or lap

·         Come ride with us on the day - up to 8 hours

·         Collect the donations and give them to b.i.k.e.-Syracuse

THE DETAILS:

8 hours of biking and community spirit!!   Sign in starts at 7 a.mStart time of the ride is 9:00 a.m. through 5 p.m.   This is an open ride and you are free to start the course any time up until 3 p.m..  Riders will be riding a scenic 20 or 10 mile loop (Rider’s choice) through the streets of Syracuse .  There is also a quarter mile youth track.   Registration and Ride Start will take place at b.i.k.e.-Syracuse’s home base - Skiddy Park, Otisco Street, in downtown Syracuse.  The b.i.k.e.-Syracuse staff will be working in cooperation with the Police Dept and the City Parks and Recreation Department to ensure a safe and fun event for all!!

Registration is $20 per Rider age 18 and older.  Children 17 and under are free and may ride the youth track.  Riders are expected to bring in donations either thru sponsors or direct donation for this charity event. Children are encouraged to obtain donations and pledges for their laps around the track.  An adult must be present for any child riding the Youth Track.   Riders 17 and under will not be permitted to ride the 20 mile course.   Children will be permitted to ride the 10 mile course in the company of an adult also riding.

Riders should aim to raise as much as possible .   

All registration fees will be used for the costs of the event.

Reserve your spot now by sending us an email with your name and address. Put "registration" in the subject line.  

Registration for the event starts at 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 21st.  All pledge sheets and registration money not paid via web site will be collected at Registration.  All Riders will be required to sign a liability waiver.  Any Rider without a pledge sheet, payment, registration and/or liability waiver will not be permitted to ride.  All Riders will be required to have a bike in good working condition along with a certified safety helmet.

Food is available for purchase on site during the event.  Also club T-shirts.

Make your checks payable to b.i.k.e.-Syracuse.  Fees and donations can be sent online via charge or debit card.  Go to our donation page and follow the simple instructions.

RULES

Ø     All Riders must turn in a signed registration/ liability release form. 

Ø There will be check points (Marshals) every 5 miles.  Riders must check-in at each   transition point with Marshal.

Ø      Minors may only ride the 10 mile adult loop if accompanied by an adult.

Ø     NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED IN THE PARK.

Ø      All bikes must be in good working condition (must pass inspection)

Ø      All Riders must wear, at all times while riding, a certified safety helmet.

Ø      Water bottle is recommended

     Violations to the above Rules will result in Riders escorted from the event.
